Also the official company description is located (at the time of writing this) on page 27 of the CWB.pdf file in your game folder(s). Older versions other than the one used in Overland might have this section on a different page -the section it is under is Optional RulesDialog. I had this same quest...

True- that is one thing that I never got around to adding- I was told it would be a good idea to grab the files (they had originally been hosted by Rich Hamilton's SDC) -and he had some concerns that if Gamesquad ever had any issues that these files which he had originally hosted (indeed created a f...

The download software at the site- I can't say as it is particularly intuitive - but it was free. There is a download now link at the bottom of each individual link (off to the left hand side) -and it starts when that is clicked on. Despite it looking like users need to register- that is only the ca...

Maybe .. maybe not ... I fired up the same one - and am firing at CSA units 3 hexes away and in the woods, but at the same elevation ( 3 batteries- 2 of them Napoleon and one the 3 in rifles) -and got results- all 3 around 11 losses apiece (give or take a couple). Can't see why as I would get differ...

Right ... missed the Getting Started bit ...

although I count 3 batteries of Napoleons and one of 3 inch rifles (and no reinforcements -not Union leastwise).

Well you won't actually find the answer without looking at the pdt (and it will be quickly obvious if there is an issue there -as it will stick out like a sore thumb.). I do remember seeing one of those with regards to arty -and based upon what John is saying -it should have the same issue in Antiet...

Blake- check the pdt in your specific scenario - for the firing unit type (as well as the defensive modifier for the terrain that your target was in .... don't assume anything.) If you find anything odd- drop JTS a line.

Maybe a more relevant question would have been which optional rules were selected -as some of those can lead to mass routs (in all of the grand tactical scale series). Pretty much all options except those listed above. Painful if any game has ever been won or lost because of an optional rule being ...

I would say it all depends on the size and members playing. I am currently involved in a 2x2 where the battle designed, (and may I say excellently by Gen. Blake), is perfect for a 2x2. I am also involved in a 3x2, (once again a battle excellently designed by Gen. Blake), that is well suited for at ...

JTS started rolling out the no-disc in 2010 (partly that was due to th direct download distribution model). The last Chancellorsville update being from 2011- it would appear to be more of a documentation (or lack of it) issue in the txt file describing what was new to that update. However I'll see i...

If you consider other projects- take Panzer Campaigns as an example -where the older Kharkov '42 map did not match up exactly to the Kursk '43 map where they bother overlapped; and then extend things on to the newer Kharkov '43 maps which isn't an exact duplication of the Kharkov '42 map ; and I thi...
