I think the easy way for melee would be to have the engine perform Def Fire when the attacker clicks the button to resolve the melee. That way you don't know who's going to be disorganised, you can't order in a "replacement" unit and the rest go on in at lower odds. More power to the defense, which ... |

Looking for an opponent(s) for BGN scenarios 14 & 15. These are the last 2 in that game I don't think I've ever played. Not sure about their balance, but just looking to tick them off the list.

That's true, and with the new full FP option more likely. There's still the case of those coming from the flank/rear, but you can find exceptions to everything... I just like things that take control away from us the player and allow units in the field to "make mistakes" on their own. Maj Gen Sean T... |

I find myself wondering how difficult it would be for the game engine to require morale checks before melee? Maybe for both, maybe just on the attacker who would disorg on a fail. And/or, a "Pin" fire result? Thinking of all those orders to units to keep moving and not to stop and fire back...and th... |

Now, I know that people in this club might be a bit biased (!), but I'm wondering what people's favourite historical era is (in terms of military history)? Which could tell us something about why people play these games. * Is it Grant and Lee and Stoney J and Sherman that gets your pulse racing? * I... |

Having no clue where Honey Springs or Sabine Pass are, I offer my sword to lead the Rebs at either or both of those battles. Heck, I never know where I am anyway!! [:I]

Gen'l Sands, the Rebs are willing to call a cease fire while you git those tents set up and welcome back the esteemed Gen'l Nelms. After all, we want to make sure those tents are in fine working order before we capture them! [8D] Many congrats and thanks to Gen'ls Nelms and Laub for their work for t... |

A hush descends on the room as the Confederate General strides in, a tale of a thousand thousand yankee defeats following in his wake. "Well, General, good to see the revolving door of yankee commanders is still well-oiled and rotating nicely! Just thought I'd stop by and welcome you to your new com... |

Anyone up for a live internet game this week? After today I'm quite free through the weekend. I've done this once before, and it sure does add to the tension! It would need to be something on the smallish side. I am in the UK (just to note the time difference if you're not). I have all the games apa... |

Hear ye! Hear ye! Let my esteemed opponents know that I will be away the next week, so no files in that period. Hey Mike, I found your manual lying here, wrapped around 3 cigars. If you want, I'll have Longstreet send it over along with some "tech support" boys, and a 12#er, and then we'll "misfire" some cannister into your base unit. You can then take the insurance money and buy a brand new horse. Sound like... |
