Gentlemen <salute>,

I have been appointed the interim Chief of the Armies for the next few months until the Confederacy is put back on a somewhat firmer footing. I would request your forbearance whilst I catch up on all the administrative work. My tent is always open for any officer of our fine Confederacy, so please do drop by for some social discourse and a sample of Mrs Miggins’s latest batch of medicinal elixir.

I find it absolutely outrageous and amazing how much liquor the CSA Commissary produces in relation to the amount of ammunition produced by the Ordnance Department! The last time I assaulted the rail road embankment at Second Bull Run, Jackson's boys were throwing their empty beer and whiskey bottles at us! It's a tribute to their manliness that they were able to expertly conk so many of us on the head before they finally gave in to a mass urge to urinate, thereby destabilizing the embankment and ending the battle.
