The Battle of New Market BGB/NM02a/39 is listed as a "What if" - umm, what if what? What is the hypothetical situation? I am afraid I cannot tell from the OOB/reinforcements, and am not familiar enough with the battle to tell what the variation is.

Thanks [:D]

I think I played that battle against MajGen Dancer a couple years ago. I don't recall it being a what-if though. I've been to the battlefield site, but am not super smart enough on it to definitely state how accurate it is. It was a too close to call fight the whole way through, but I got lucky in the end with some flanking maneuvering. Maybe contact the scenario designer?

BGB/NM02a/39 is listed as a "What if" (BGB/NM01h/39 is the historical full battle), but nothing more is said about what if ... what?

As for the designer, I'm hoping the Cart Office Boys know who it was [:D]

After dowloading all the New Market stuff, I only have NMK 01 - 06.

NMK 01 - 04 are originals, NMK 05, 06 are NF.

What is the name on the title bar after you load it?

Can you send me the *.oob, *.pdt, & *.scn files you have, they obviously do not match what we have at ACWCO. Did you get these from NIR Project?

Cheers,

Paul

We have the same stuff. I got the "What If" 2a by looking at the scn file in a text editor as there is often explanatory text that does not appear when you load the file.

Anyway, the bar title is "The milita will come! scn NMK02

I have been doing some work here:
http://69.3.157.15/acwgc_web/acwgc_admi ... BR&GM_ID=4

And this tells me we do not know who the designer is.

I have not personally played this one, on my list to do so.

So we may be better off asking on main board to see if anyone knows about the Battle of New Market.

I will be doing the OOB research when I playtest this one.

Cheers,
