American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC)

Fellow Officers:

Nominations are now open for two Cabinet Secretary positions, one USA and one CSA. These are for two-year terms, from January 1, 2007 until December 31, 2008.

According to club rules (3.3.4.2), candidates must hold the rank of Colonel or higher and must be nominated by two officers of the same military group. <b>Nominations are to be sent to the entire Cabinet</b> (acwgc@wargame.ch), and will be acknowledged within 24 hours. (If you submit a nomination and do not hear back from a Cabinet member within that time, there is apt to be a problem with the transmission lines. Please contact me directly in that case.)

If you know of someone you think would make a good Cabinet Secretary, contact him first to see if he would be willing to serve. If he agrees to serve, submit his name.

Club rules call for at least one week each for nominations, campaigns, and voting. There hasn't been much advance notification of these openings (at least, not club-wide), so nominations will be left open for two weeks, not just one. Following is the time table for the election, as approved by the Cabinet:

Nominations: Monday, November 27 through Sunday, December 10 (two weeks).
Campaigning: Monday, December 11 through Sunday, December 17 (one week).
Voting: Monday, December 18 through Sunday, December 24 (one week, with the newly-elected Secretaries to take office effective January 1).

All regular officers are eligible to vote on the secretary position representing their military group.
