Hey HPS Guys,

Could you please make the Poor Weather feature optional in the HPS Shiloh game. I have played two campaigns since the last upgrade and both have resulted in the same encounter at Logan's run with poor weather. Can't see more than four hexes and the rebs know where I am move up slowly and then attack with the "mud" I can not even turn my units to meet them. Major Defeat and end of campaign. Sure ruined a great campaign! I do not mind adding new feature to the game, but make them optional please.

It's a historical campaign, and the weather was poor that day.

But, I'll try to add another file without weather for Mill Springs.

In the meantime, move cautiously. :-)

BTW,

If you have Atlanta, or Chickamauga, they both have optional weather files.

After rereading this, you say you cannot turn your units? Please explain.

Dear Lt Col. Richard Walker,

My last post does not seem to be here, but here it is again. The problem I had was I drew up a line facing in one direction. I could only see four hexes ahead due to weather. my opponent came in from multiple direction. As I had an objective hex worth 250 points he knew where I would be. He came out of the woods on my flank fired a few brigades routed and I could not even turn my line to face his assualt due to the "Mud". I was hoping to turn my line 90 degrees to face his approach; I could not.

OK, your talking about turning a flank, not rotating an individual unit.

Well, I can create another campaign file that plays without the historical weather, but in the short term, I suggest a different tactic. This scn was playtested and it was found that both sides have a chance for victory.
