 Post subject: CSA Staffing Changes
PostPosted: Wed Jan 09, 2008 4:33 pm
Gentlmen of the South,

While we await word from Dave - and all hope and pray that he is well - it is imperative that business within the CSA go on lest we fall behind our Yankee foes. As such, I am making the following changes in CSA staffing on an interim basis until Dave returns to full active duty and can confirm them on a permanent basis.

ANV Command: As Dave is now CSA COA, a new leader is necessary at ANV and all ANV officers are in agreement that Ed Stewart would be a fine choice. So I hereby appoint Ed Stewart to command of the ANV.

Eastern Theater: We have also not heard from Gen. Huels in quite some time. As such, Nick Kunz has offered to cover the position of ETC until his return, or on a permanent basis if necessary. His leadership experience within the CSA over the past many years will make this a very easy transition for all. So I hereby appoint Nick Kunz to command of the Eastern Theater.

Please join me in congratulating these fine officers for their dedication and provide your support for the future. Our hope is of course, that Gens. Huels and Bowman will return quickly.

Regards,

Major Gen. Alan Lynn
CSA Chief of Staff
3rd Bgde, 3rd Cav Div, II Corps, AoA

God Bless <><

Gen. Lynn,

Sir, I support your decision on the above two choices and I would like to offer my support as well as the support of all of VMI for the good of the CSA.

Gen. Stewart and Gen. Kunz - you both know that I beholds a very special place in my heart to the Army of Northern Virigina. This is the Army that I joined upon graduation from VMI and served as a Division Commander there. If I can assist or help either one of you, please do not hestiate to call upon me.
