Gentlemen;

On April 30, 1862 at Vicksburg Military Institute there will be a change in Command Ceremony. All available Armies are requested to be present, except those that are fighting those Northern Blue Bellies.

I will be presenting the Flag of VMI to Brig. General John Newton, who will become the new Commandant for VMI.

I will also be relieving Lt. General Allen Lynn as the Interim Chief of Armies. General Lynn has agreed to come back on board as my Chief of Staff.

I will also appoint General Nick Kunz as the Eastern Theatre Commander and present him with the Eastern Theatre Flag.

I will appoint Brig. General Larry Quick to also be charge of the Confederate Engineering Department.

I will be looking for an Adjutant to assist me with the additional paper work that I will be compounding.

I would like to start to other Staff’s positions to help the Army Commanders, and Corp Commanders. These two positions are the Confederate Medical Department and the Provost Marshal.

The Medical Department duties is very simple; I would like this Officer to stay in contact with those Officers that is currently in the Hospital Wards and assist in getting them back onto the battle fields.

The Provost Marshal duties is also simple, he is the one that will track down any Officer that has missed two musters and has received a dispatch to help in locating the Missing in Action, and Absent With Out Leave Officer. He will also council this Officer and see if he can get them to become more active.

If you would like to be considered for either of these positions, please contact me.

I will see you all on April 30…at 1000 hours.

We'll plan on attending in our best blue uniforms, with enough cannons for the 21 gun salute - or however many shots it takes to finish the job![}:)]

Congrats, sir![8D]
