The election campaign for the office of Union Army Cabinet Secretary will commence on Monday, December 12th, and continue through Sunday, December 18th. General Derald Riggs and Brigadier General Mark van der Hagen are the duly nominated candidates for the office, and, according to rule, are urged to post their campaign statements within the Smoking Room of the Mason Dixn Tavern.

3.3.4.3 Campaigning Once the candidates are determined, each will be encouraged to post one campaign message thread at the Smoking Room for any information he would like to share. Supporters may add to the thread. In the club spirit of behaving like gentlemen, however, negative statements regarding other candidates are highly discouraged. Posts in violation of this rule are subject to removal.

The actual vote, to be conducted by e-mail, will not commence until Monday, December 19th. PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN ANY VOTES UNTIL THAT DATE OR AFTER.

Additional announcements concerning the vote will follow.
