How has everyone's summer been?[8D]

Mine has been great!!

The wife and I bought an old Victorian (built 1876) and I have spent my summer renovating it. It is another hobbie and I have worked my ass off and sweated a lot. Still fat though and haven't accomplished all that I had hoped.

Aside from that, I have played with my son as much as possible (he is 19 months), watched my daughter play softball (she is 16 years) and gone to the beach as often as possible and the odd party. Oh, and least I should forget, go to a few Yankee games. Not all Yankees are bad!![;)]

What about you, have you smelled the flowers this summer?

It's been a blur of work, various obligations, and trying to stay cool...so nothing spectacular...[|)]

I have been misplaced in life and live in PA. No, PA is a nice state at least where I'm at. (Near Gettysburg) I do like the summers and I like being outside doing the yard work, watching my plants and flowers grow and also watching my fish grow....I have watched my daughter grow too as she is off to college in two weeks.....

But I love the fall and winter....Other than Civil War Gaming, my other passion is HO Model Railroading, modeling the 1890's. After awakening at 5:00AM, I will spend those early morning hours during many Saturday and Sunday mornings in the basement modeling, listening to old westerns on AMC, spipping coffee and looking forward to that 10:00AM nap before football starts.

Now with the club, I must make time to fight these Yankees.....good or bad! Oh, I'm sorry.....How was my summer? GGGRRREEEAAATTT!!!!

Pretty good summer except it's been very hot here in western PA this year. On my first weeks vacation I got to go to Tiller Con, meet some old friends and make some new ones then spend some time at the beach with the wife. My youngest graduated from high school and we had the families together at my place to celebrate. Just finished my second vacation and got some of those honey do chores done around the house.

It has been a good summer here in upstate NY. Have made a few trips to my beloved Adirondacks for some hiking and kayaking. I also took in a Civil War reenactment and visited a few Revolutionary War sites here in NY.

Kyle, although I am a Union man who resides in NY I tend to differ with you regarding baseball. Have been a die hard Red Sox fan since 1971.[:)]
