Gentlemen,

I have just made the announcement at VMI of the retirement of General Dustin Arnold as Commandant of that fine institution. He has done an excellent job during his time at VMI. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him serving on my staff during these first months of my tenure as CoA.

General Arnold will be returning to active duty, devoting his full energies to hunting down and driving off the Federal invaders of our soil.

Brigadier General Nick Kunz has been named the incoming Commandant of VMI, effective 10/1.

Drinks are on me, in honor of these two fine officers. Bartender, keep 'em flowing -- and let those fellows in blue coats partake as well. I expect they will all need a stiff drink, knowing they will soon be seeing more of one the South's finest!

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory

I would like to thank General Arnold for his great contribution, hard work and dedication to this club. It has been a pleasure working with him over the years. I wish him the best and hope that he can enjoy what he has sowed in the club.

I also want to congratulate General Nick Kunz on his appointment and wish him the best.

As a recurring opponent of BG Nick Kunz's I would like to congratulate him on his appointment. And for the new recruits BG Kunz is a fine gentleman and will take the time to point out the finer details of carry your battle forward - no matter how doomed the final outcome.

<salute>

And buy this gentleman a drink - VMI is in good hands.

Now all I have to do is beat him in our ongoing battles [:D]

I am loath to close. We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.

I had the chance to graduate from the VMI when General Arnold was in charge. Thank you for your good work, Sir.
