As one of my last acts as Union Commander of Armies I have today made the following medal awards:

Medal of Honor:
Lt. General David Danner
Lt. General Ed Blackburn

Outstanding Service Medal:
General Doug Burke
General Bill Zuelsdorff
General Ralph Peterson
General Dierk Walter

Please take time to congratulate these gentlemen and thank them for their service and devotion to the Union Cause and the ACWGC. First round is on me but after that the guys with the new shiny medals are buying.

General Mark Nelms
Union Chief of the Army
Cabinet Member

Gentlemen,

My congratulations to these fine officers, and especially to General Nelms. He and I have faced each other across several battlefields and have worked together now on Cabinet issues. He would have made an excellent Southern officer! [:)]

Bottom's up!

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory

I am loath to close. We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.

-Abraham Lincoln, 1st Inaugural Address
