The morning dew was still on the grass so Corporal Adams was careful where he sat down but man the rest sure felt good,

Pvt. Brown stirred next to Adams and tilted his head-" hey. did ya hear that? " Adams looked at him in bemusement "hear what Brown?"
"No kiddin` Corp I heerd a shot, Out thattaway" Brown pointed off to the Northwest.
"I doubt it" Adams replied" Dont rekon the Rebs is North of us"

But then there was no doubt as the men heard more shooting,in the distance.

"on your feet troop!", Sargeant Kearns bellered and Adams and Brown moved back on the road

" what ja say the name of the next town is?" Brown asked
"Place called Gettysburg "Adams replied

Okay, I can copy our exchanges. now, I have asked Cela his permission to use his replies and if affirmative y`all will see the comments for both sides, I also think I will try something new in that I will start a new thread with each set of exchanges, This will do two things

1, If someoen comes in late to the thread he wont have to scroll back several hundred posts to start at the beginning.
2, those that are following the posts wont have to figure out if its a new or old post.

Opinions? Does anyone even want to follow this type of thread? In the past there were a couple fellas that seemed to enjoy it. I guess I can figure it out from readership but input still desired.

Guess I have things working okay. What y`all gonna get is sort of a down on the battlefield running commentary. Just as leaders on the field were often confused as to the big picture so sometimes it will be difficult to get a true big picture from the commentary so kinda try and see yourself as one of the characters.
