The swirling fight at Culps Hill was winding down, not
enough troops for the Union to make a dent there.

The town was rebel country now, a few routed Union
boys a-runnin around tryin ta hide. They was goin to
Andersonville, they was...

Johnson on the field now, moving to flank the frsh
Union troops arriving from the south. Those boys in
blue was holdin on, but the weight of numbers was
movin on them like a dark cloud of fury.....
