The night brings respite. All over the field men are
finally resting, just a few sporadic volleys here and
there. Except for the rebel right flank, where several
thousand fresh troops, already in contact with the
enemy, continue to push forward, yard by yard, killing
many blue-coated soldiers who seem to not have the
will to stand and fight.....
