The arrival of fresh troops all along the line was a
boon. Longstreet surveyed the carnage from Seminary
Ridge and thought it was good. A major push here might
catch the yankee with no fresh troops to stem the
assault. The artillery was up now, and close to the
line. Any union counter-attack would be met by
ferocious chain shot and volleys of mini balls......
