Has the ability to assault across fords changed with the latest patch? I seem to recall (and this is only a vague recollection) that in the previous version one could only assault/move across fords in column. Now it appears that one can melee across fords in line formation.

Larry- This is true only in our present game- you were able to walk across the ford in line by stepping on the Colonial corpses- Dwight

I haven't noticed it in '12 (and I sure could've used that ability at Plattsburg!)

In a new version game with Tim Moore, umm...Branywine, I wasn't able to move across the fords in line.

I can only move across bridges/fords in column, in all versions of 1776 or 1812. I have been or am currently in games in each that require crossing.<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>
