Registration :

The ILWC Allied General Tournament has started March 1998 with 45 players divided into 9 groups of 5. Currently the tourney reached round four: the final.

Organization :

In the first round of the tourney the players will be divided into groups of 5 players. These 5 players will play mutual games so that all with have met everyone else within their group. There are 4 games to be played in this first round: 2 scenarios from both axis and allies side. The best 2 players of each group will qualify for the second round.

In the second round there will be 6 groups of 3 players. The 6 winners in the first round who had the most points scored will be heading these 6 groups, with the winner with the most points heading group I, the second heading group II and so on until group VI. The 3 winners in the first round who had the least points will be placed in the groups VI, V, IV in that order. The 9 players who were 2nd in their groups in first round will fill up the other slots in the second round.

Players that have met each other in first round, will not meet each other in second round. See table for line up of second round. First round winners are marked A, second best players in first round are marked B. So A1 is winner with most points, B1 is best second ending player, B9 is second ending player with least points.

Rules :

  1. All players need to have version 1.1 of the game.
  2. Replaying turns is NOT allowed and is considered cheating!
  3. Players may have to play several games simultaneously during rounds.
  4. Players have to play at least 2 turns per game a week (8 moves in case of 4 different games).
  5. All players have to cc copy ALL MOVES to tourney master.
  6. Players have to take into account that passwords might have to be presented to tourney master in case of: prestige bug, a dispute between both players or when score clarification (on last turn) is needed. So take this into account when picking your passwords.
  7. In case the prestige bug shows its ugly head: notify your opponent and tourney master at once. Always stay above the undeserved level of prestige points. In case of doubt consult tourney master.
  8. In case players cannot answer a move within 3 days, your opponent has to be notified.
  9. In case you haven’t received any move from your opponent within a week, tourney master has to be notified and your replacement in tourney might be considered.
  10. Level bombing of empty objectives is not allowed (this is to prevent prestige bug).

Qualification :

The best players of each group qualify for next rounds. In the first round 2 players per group of 5 qualify (40%). Scoring: Every objective held at end of game counts as 1 point. For every turn a game is concluded in a victory before last turn, another point is scored. In case players end with an equal score after a complete round, player who held most non-objectives in all games within that round will be higher in rank. And in case players would then still be equal, the kills inflicted and the losses taken in complete round will decide.

Ladder scoring :

Scoring for the Infologo Wargame Club ladder is only possible for members of ILWC. Players eliminated in the first round will get 10 ladder points. Those not surviving the second round score 25 points. When knocked out after 3 rounds players can add 50 points to their ladder score. The loser of the final is awarded 100 points and the tourney winner boosts his score with 200! Players who are not a member yet can register themselves at: Infologo Wargame Club

Scenarios :

The scenarios that will be played will be decided upon when the exact number of players in the tourney is known. When saving your moves, it is advised to name your files after the scenarios. Each scenario might have additional rules. In round 1 the Zhitomir scenario has the extra rule that no aggressive manoeuvres may be made against the axis fighters during the first allied turn.

Miscellaneous :

ILWC membership is not obliged to take part in this tourney, but no ladder scoring will be possible when not being a member. Ladder scoring depends on the number of players in the tourney and will be decided later.

In case of any dispute that is not covered within these rules, tourney master decides unconditionally.

New players can always call for assistance from me, Riker, AG tourney master.
