BTW, for those interested in scenario design and related to the topic of delayed reinforcements. Scenarios can be either altered or newly created that use "Alternative" entry hexes with variable times of entry. In using this feature, the above topic would be moot. I have used it on severa...

Sorry, just now noticed this. As Ned said, Mustering is an essential part of the Club's admin duties so we know "who is here." We debated monthly vs. quarterly for many years until finally, earlier this year, the Club voted to make it monthly in the Club Rules. In the end, whether we did ...

I've 'slept on it' and woke up very worried that delaying reinforcements could unbalance many scenarios. Essentially, units are hidden 'beyond the edge of the world' and a large force can be built up that then emerges in the flank/rear of an opponent at a convenient time. The converse situation is ...

You can do that now with the record feature. Under the Mode drop down, select "record" When finished, open any scenario, then under file, select replay then select the desired BTR file. This will work for a PBeM game? When I try to select "record" with PBeM mode I get an error m...

I am just curious, why is there a need for monthly musters. I realize a muster is needed to show who is active, but wouldn't a quarterly muster do just as well?

My two cents

Having played a few PBeM games now I have a great desire to review the battle from beginning to end with a God's eye view. If the program could somehow store the replays over time and then when the game concluded produce a continuous replay with no FOW from start to finish. To be able to see the eb...

Here's a correction to my earlier post regarding most played titles [I stupidly didn't check them all and used an old version of the DoR]. Here's the full list (according to the latest version of the DoR) with the count of recorded plays. 1. Gettysburg - 3,638. 2. Antietam - 2,038. 3. Corinth - 1,7...

Best title to own is Antietam. I may be biased, but there it is. But as always, it depends on what battles interest you.

Welcome Yankee Invader (go back north peaceable, or at the point of a bayonet. Your choice)

Have you PBEM'd WDS ACW games? Do you have a favorite title or scenario?

You have to remember BGG was the second game in the BG series and the first ACW game and came out in 1995. I would guess several of the designers had played the Richard Berg ACW boardgames. One of the reasons I bought BGG was it appeared to be similar to Berg's TSS, Bloody Shiloh and Gleam of Bayon...
