Bill, While I don't think these Clubs will fold any time soon, I do agree that they can be more streamlined. Too many folks who will probably die with a mouse in their hands and a game turn on their screens (I'm talking to the esteemed Drill Sergeant Sands here! ) You can have my m... |

I have been to Nanaimo a couple of times - both by submarine, if you can believe that. We were up doing trials in that neck of the woods, and the Canadians have a small base near there. Fished off the deck of the sub one evening anchored off the waterfront... |

I agree with the fact that you need to find enough leaders to fulfill a small unit cohesion factor - whether that is at Division or Corps level in this Club is debateable, I think. Sometimes Div is too small, and we don't have enough folks to fill them (well). Corps is more likely, but the span is s... |

Great questions, Pat. I think it can be improved, but it is hard to do. It takes having a good level of camaraderie, and that usually means a solid leader and willing participants. One of our challenges is that the "typical wargamer" is not necessarily your social butterfly! So getting eng... |

Pat Carroll - loved the post. Scott Ludwig - couldn't agree more. Ernie Sands, Bill Peters, Pat Carroll, Scott Ludwig - might take another 8 years in this Club before those 4 agree on a topic! Ned Simms - love the concept, need to noodle on how to make that happen, and would love to hear ide... |

Ernie, BG Elkin, Sill playing APBA. I'm a FAR sight younger than Ernie, BG Elkington, no idea for you, but loved rolling those dice as a kid. I've been in a league doing PBEM with APBA for 10 or 12 years now, and really enjoy it. It's simple, to be sure, and would love to have it updated. Great hobb... |

Gentlemen of the ACWGC, General Joe Meyer is currently serving as Interim Union Chief of the Army, filling in for General DS Walter's term after his resignation last November. It is time to elect a Union Chief of the Army for a full 2 year term. I encourage all eligible Union officers to begin consi... |
