Terry, Thanks for the offer, and when Tim Reneau and I are through I'll be in touch.
Jim - Thank you for the offer - Tim has already convinced me that Day 1 at Gettysburg is a Federal disaster. He has kindly agreed to stick around for 2 more days to see if I can even up the score

Hard to imagine, but in 10 years with the Club I have never played Historical Gettysburg. Is there a Southern Gentleman out there who would care to humor me? Once it gets big and busy, I may only manage 3 turns/week.

Troiani uses artistic license to the full - he is after all making a living by selling prints. In "Garryowen" the 28th Mass are shown marching in step across a pontoon bridge - but troops always break step for a bridge. In "Sons of Erin" he has Fr Corby, chaplain of the 88th NY g... |

General Sorry to hear you are between jobs I'm up for either Chickamauga or Gettysburg, but don't promise more than 2 returns/week - it will depend on the size of the scenario. Pick a scn that interests you and suggest which of the optional rules be turned off. No infantry assaults in column except ... |

Gentlemen A moments silence tomorrow, 13 Dec, to remember all the brave men whose lives were flung away or who were maimed between the Rappahannock and Marye's Heights 150 years ago. Whilst not forgetting the lone assualt by Meade's Pennsylvania reserves on Jackson, Fredericksburg was the bloodiest ... |

Thank you Colonel, but the help about file clearly says version 2.01, not 1.02. Can you clear this up for me? Do you suppose this is a hangover from Talonsoft? |

I generally play HPS games, but recently (August '12) downloaded the Battleground series as the old Talonsoft would not run on my current PC. I am based in the UK. The Help about shows that I have version 2.01. It worked fine for a training game with a cadet in India who had downloaded the same vers... |

Imboden's Command was Brigade strength but mostly partisans - they were the Rearguard moving north and Train Guard for the withdrawal. Imboden bluffed the Union Cav at Falling Waters. 7th Va Cav (Jones Bde?) had been more like partisans under Ashby but were more disciplined under Grumble Jones, |

General Whitehead Am I correct that Stuart only had 3 of the 8 CS Cavalry Brigades with him, and that Lee was using the others as flank/rear guards to plug the gaps in the Blue ridge and protect the trains? Lee had cavalry, but assumed that Stuart would send him all the information he needed. Stuart... |

Cleburne was Irish - who said the plan had to be feasible? Were the poor whites of the south as racist before /during the war as some of them were after the war? The Irish laborers of the north were in direct competition with the African americans for the manual jobs, and many were certainly anti-bl... |
