Yes simultaneous fire resolution for attacker and defender sounds about right as the best way to explain it. Target selection is taken out of the hands of players. I'd expect the non phasing players units to fire first but that hasn't been spelt out. I'm still waiting to see how melee or assault wor... |

Units are fine although I agree that the Reb unit is a bit hard to see. Roads and Trail and fences ok as well. Not sure bout trees but that was always the hardest part to mod and get right. I played two campaign games of Corinth when the game came out using stock graphics and it put me off 3D for ye... |

For those that don't frequent the Matrix forums follow link to read up on it. Still in alpha? but due this summer? http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=808 Anyone that plays FOF will have an idea on what to expect in terms of graphics. Not much news on all the game mechanics but what the... |

Sorry Al but I think you counted that wrong. Deduct any byes, deduct the games where Reb played Reb and you get a better picture. Scenario WAS whacked.......although I am surprised by the Cemetery results. MG Coyle Highland Bde Crocketts Riles II Corps AoG Georgia the Brave<s></s> |

What about stand alone scenarios which are part of a tournament? I think that in 06C Wheat to Round Top the rebs should be allowed to withdraw. After all not much point in attacking and you end up fighting on your own map edge anyway.......

<i>Cemetery Ridge has….. 12 Yanks and 17 Rebs </i> If there are not enough Yanks for CR then I'm quite happy to withdraw from the Cemetery Ridge. I really only want to play Turn based but thought I'd ease myself back into games by trying out Phase play with all these new fang dangle options.......... |

With the Matrix re release of BG/Talonoft ACW there seems to be a bit of interest in their forums for the games. Someone has started an AAR of BGG Gettysburg which is bringing back good old memories. Anyways some of the old problems are starting to surface...mass melees and units moving like panzers... |

Good suggestion but I'd propose an additional Battle Field Fatigue to stop player micro managing or fiddling with their units when they are 'in contact with the enemy'. Ok defining when units are 'in contact with the enemy' isn't easy but I'm sure everyone knows what I mean. Col Coyle Army of Georgi... |

The last serious pbem game I played versus a Yank opponent was one where he continually melee'd at every opportunity. And this wasn't just for VP hexes, it was his game play. I had no problems with it as he was just trying to use the fact that his units were bigger and more numerous than my Reb ones... |

Pinning would get my vote of the 3 above. I'd propose a 4th option. Melee check. In order to melee each attacking unit has to pass a melee test. If it fails it can't attack. Would provide intersting situations in multi unit attacks where not all the attackers are allowed to attack. Strictly speaking... |

I'll try not to use the forbidden "h" word this time. Disrupted units cannot deploy skirmishers but obviously will be subject to skirmisher movement effects from other units which have skirmishers. If a unit Disrupts its skirmishers are automatically recalled. In HPS games skirmishers are also recal... |

Why don't we have a house rule which says that all units must form or adopt skirmish formation at all times? Wouldn't this give more realistic movement and prevent unecessary melees? Units disrupted in melees or by fire cannot move forward until they recover and then redeploy skirmishers. Units whic... |
