Bill, the park has changed significantly from what you remember to now. They are planting trees and have purchased much of the battle land from the local farmers in order to create the battlefield just as it would have looked. Hello all, I just wanted to share my thoughts on my visit to Antietam Battlefield yesterday. It was incredible! This is my favorite ACW battlefield to visit, (more so than Gettyburg), it was my third time there. I say more so than Getty becasue this site has still not been "overrun" with commercial ... |
