With the Wargame Design Studio, I am working on upgrading OOBs from all published JTS games, including those produced under HPS. If anyone finds an error in ANY upgraded OOB related to an incorrect graphic, I encourage that person to contact JTS Tech Support, or contact me directly at hisbluedog@yah... |

JTS Support aka Rich Hamilton will always let the appropriate staff person know of glitches such as this. I'm on it. BTW, there are now 25 artillery 3D lines, as of Petersburg. Lots of changes coming. J |

Actually yes, replacements. Mike heard the same rumor I heard, but I've never seen any sign of it happening. You? |

Sifakis, in his book, "Who Was Who in the Civil War," states that Chamberlain's DOR was 20 May 63, the same date that the 20th Maine's original commander, Adelbert Ames, was promoted to Brigadier. That is almost six weeks before Round Top, so we can be pretty certain that Joshua was borne ... |

:?: When developing Overland, and trying to find a way to support a long-term scenario with the existing engine, I was told, but no documentation was ever presented, that some reinforcements are provided in long scenarios. How long was long? Don't know, but rumor had it that such reinforcements woul... |

I will say with 95% surety that as soon as the Army, corps, division, whatever, got the word that he had been promoted, [b]somebody [b] would have found a pair of eagles for him. When I became an NCO my platoon sgt scrounged a set of pin ons for me from a fellow NCO and gave them to me in the field,... |

:D I want to point out the significance of what you have seen on this thread, for the first time: Asking Rich Walker or myself, as designers of Petersburg and Overland respectively, to change the way supply works in these games, or limit LOS, or any number of measures which call for an engine change... |

All that would be required for that to happen would be the insertion of a couple of command levels into OOBs. Currently, they are A C D B. Modern warfare games have several more. I have requested such a change. If you mean the ability to split up a regiment during play, which is also a feature of Mo... |

It took me a while to read through the various posts in this thread. I hope that I am offering something new here. First, Doug Strickler made the monster (master) map for Overland, and he did a fantastic job. One can bring up a modern topo map In Virginia and compare it to the hex map, and you can t... |

Happy New Year Everybody! The question was recently asked, "Can units enter the map at points OTHER than a map edge?" Answer is, yes they can. Take a look at Union reinforcements in the Overland Scenario. They appear at Aquia landing, Belle Plain and Port Royal, as if they just disembarked... |

Rather than talk this thing to death, which I think has been done, a bunch of y'all just crank up a couple of the Mule Share scenarios and come to your conclusions in battle instead of with a slide rule. Ken focused on getting the Mule Shoe right, more than any other action, and I think he did a fin... |
