With the recent advances in A/I programs (not in our games of course, lol), do you think it is possible for someone to design a program to take into consideration all of the movements, variables, and decisions that we make each turn, and then use all that to defeat us with regularity in these games... |

Yeah, the Plum Run valley is a bit soggy. The NPS even has walking boards in the area around Devils Den because the ground is often quite saturated. |

I know that Ewell's brigade spent the battle counter-marching and was not truly engaged in the Battle of First Bull Run but what of Holmes' Brigade? From what I gather, Holmes was part of Ewell's command. Did this mean that he and his men also did not take part in the battle? Holmes's small brigade... |

Good presentation. Comment 1 - I guess that we no longer have to worry about artillery being in a defensive battle line through a town or woods. I understand the woods but not the town as there are open streets where artillery fire could be directed. Artillery in woods, I've always said that artill... |

Great points from all angles. Iverson's Brigade at Gettysburg lends itself to both arguments and the difficulties of rating units and officers historically for gaming purposes. Iverson's Brigade didn't perform badly per se at Gettysburg. It marched to Gettysburg that morning, formed line of battle, ... |

I only buy books. Paper or hard, doesn't matter. I don't like Kindle or digital book reading. I've got a couple late 19th century Civil War prints. One of the taking of New Orleans by Farragut and one of the attack up East Cemetery Hill on July 2nd. Hundreds of books on a large, wood planked bookshe... |

This is excellent.
I would love to do a multiplayer game like this again. The last one did not go so great... it was the Vicksburg challenge, and my fellow generals left the field and I only played the first two scenarios, getting soundly whipped in both, which effectively ended the campaign. |
