Congratulations Gary and Tim! I happen to know both these medals are well earned. Thanks for riding alongside!

Now, I do believe the latest blockade runner brought over a case of that there French champagne...

You could actually write an essay on this question if you were so inclined. When you look at it, a What If scenario has a lot of boxes to tick. Blake mentioned some of the most important ones, but I'd also add plausibility - both in geography but also in ORBATs. I think a What If scenario has to hav...

WDS have been publishing a series of fascinating articles on 'What If' scenarios on their blog - https://wargameds.com/blogs/news/what-if-the-long-tradition-of-alternate-history-in-wargaming-and-beyond-part-i I always enjoy Alt History and 'What If' scenarios & this led me to thinking: A) What's...

I'm a horse and musket gamer really. There was a trail a little while back saying WDS might tackle the Zulu War - that would be exciting to me but as ever with colonial-era wargames, the challenge is to achieve balance. Not easy.

Fascinating discussion, Blake and Paul. I tend to lean more towards Blake's side of the debate - the Union cavalry corps had really only been skirmishing through the Gettysburg campaign & would have been concentrated & available to threaten those Rebel supply lines through the Shenandoah Val...

I have often thought that in the scenarios with bigger maps, the ability to load your guys onto the RR would be a really cool feature.

002 from Chancellorsville has so much replay value.

007 from Gettysburg is probably my favourite though. There's something about that little crossroads town in Pennsylvania - it keeps drawing you back.

Gents, I happen to really enjoy Alternate History (if written with a certain degree of historical knowledge & plausibility). This Alt History thread on Chickamauga is one of the two best I've ever read. The attention to detail & research into the terrain, the character of the generals, the m...

Hi Karl,

If you would like to get something going, then I have room on my dance-card. Why don't you find a scenario or two that you think looks interesting & we can see if we can scare up a team. Then we can approach Wallace.

All the best,

Tom

I went with Fredericksburg as the last time the ANV was fully concentrated before other strategic considerations began diluting the army's strength... until the intense pressure of the Overland campaign.
