Winfield Scott was a professional soldier pushed into launching a campaign with a general he didn't choose and a plan he didn't endorse. He should have resigned rather than let Lincoln and the newspapers dictate the timetable. The Yankees got what they deserved at Bull Run. |

Gettysburg and Antietam. Not because it is correct but because that's the most popular answer to a bad question. Many battles occurred in MD, KY and MO. |

The rating for leaders in these games have nothing to do with performance I say he should be graded on his performance The explanation will be great on this. I logged in just to comment on this fun argument. Lee is fine rated as he is at Gettysburg. But no higher and arguably lower. AOTP wins 51/49... |

I think Paul has the right idea. You cant assign units a grade for something that didn't occur in the battle you are recreating. On the other hand this is a bit of the chicken and the egg situation. How can you grade a unit for a battle when the battle has yet to occur as Steve said. Everyone has re... |

Removing the fact that the Yankees are scoundrels ain't easy.
But all things being equal I still like playing for the underdogs. I agree the blue guns are sweet but the gray teams infantry is sweeter. |

Did the Yankees really not see the Rebs coming at their flank? Blake's description really seems to point that the coming attack was a surprise. Why didn't the Yankees check the other fords is a good question. |
