Gentlemen, I apologize for my tardiness in thanking you for this recognition. I had not recognized the topic title. (What, me, the Legion of Merit?) After more than 10 years in the club, I can say it's been a rewarding experience. I'm glad to have been part of the efforts to maintain an organization... |

Paul Kenney and I are in the opening battle of an Atlanta campaign, turn 9. Everything has been going normally, until I received the most recent game file from him. When I began to watch the replay of his move, I realized I could see his entire force, as if FoW was no longer on. I stopped it quickly... |

I'm not sure I would call the Missouri Compromise a "disaster". It certainly was a means of putting off the resolution of an issue that would have to be resolved, but to fault the authors of that act would be also to fault the framers of the Constitution, who also punted on the issue. While it laste... |

Sorry, this exercise is to prove that the Union *can* win at G'burg? I didn't think that needed proving. They did. Seriously, I think, and many of my Reb friends seem to agree, that the 3-day Gettysburg scenario is a tough one for the Rebs. Higher quality, but fewer troops, and supply problems if yo... |

Al, I have tried the optional rules in live combat, except for some of the most recent ones, where I haven't had the opportunity. My opinion is informed by experience. As far as the cadet experience, any player can try any rules he likes, without interference from me. I'm sure that among the dozen o... |

This thread fairly summarizes why I don't like, and rarely use, the captured artillery optional rule. First, most players don't understand it. Second, while I can see halving the points for spiking (your side doesn't get to reutilize the tube), it's a poor simulation of reality not to get points for... |

Col. Hebert, we were unfortunately unable to entertain your challenge due to other pressing matters, only one of which is the MP to which Gen. Ringbloom refers. In due course, I have no doubt that we will meet again. I would take great offense, however, to see another unit flying a banner featuring ... |

Well, there won't be much unity if some other outfit, especially a Reb one, adopts that flag - it looks an awful (and I mean awful!) lot like the banner of Corcoran's Legion. Are you deliberately taunting us, Roger? Find another design, boys. Gen. Matt Perrenod The Blue Ghost Superintendent, ... |
