Are you willing to share some of that stuff? I think that it has been quiet for a long, long time and it goes thru stretches where it is even quieter. The first few years of the club, it was booming and a lot of it had to do with role playing, but some got their feelings hurt and the resulting fuss... |

A splendid review of a 'disaster' it would appear, sir.
It might also appear that you have far too much time on your hands |

The chatter has, I suggest, become considerably less over the time since I joined the Club, and that's not all that long ago. |

Hi Paul, Thanks for the welcome. Sorry I wrote the wrong title, the name of the miniature rule set of Sons of the Desert. It's my friends rule set and we played a scenario based on the Sahara Desert 1888. The rule set was completely lopsided as I was outnumbered 10 to 1 and outflanked. Thanks for t... |

I know that weapons effectiveness/ranges in parameter tables can change from one campaign to another (e.g. Antietam and Overland are different). Can anyone tell me if weapons effectiveness is the same throughout a campaign game (e.g. all scenarios in Antietam use the same weapons effectiveness and ... |

Hello Tom,
Great to hear from you again, I feared you lost in the 'Wilderness'
I will certainly grub around for a suitable scenario or two and come back to you, thanks. |

A good first step might be the creation of a database of names/email addresses of people who a) would like to participate in a MP game or b) would like to organise a MP game. Maybe a pinned post on a forum. It would also not be too hard to create a set of scenarios specifically for MP, designed for... |

I don't like MP gaming but ... there has always appeared to be a sizable percentage of the membership that do/would like to indulge in MP games. What is missing is organization. Someone needs to maintain a list of scenarios that would be suited for MP gaming. That list needs to include short scenar... |

Gentlemen <Salute> Further to my initial post on the subject of MP Gaming I add my further thoughts hereunder for your delectation. Playing an MP game is not just a matter of jumping in and getting on with it, there is somewhat more involved I believe. There are several prerequisites to an MP game t... |

I also enjoy playing MP games and agree that they are fairly uncommon and would only comprise a small proportion of all games played. I suspect the reasons behind there being so few is that a number of things are desirable for a fun MP game, such as: Fast responders (files must be passed from playe... |

Gentlemen of the Union & CSA persuasion alike <salute> I post this in the belief, as set out above, that there is a dearth of MP gaming availability within the Club. Now, whilst I am well aware of the Wolverines on the Union side, the Gator Alley on the CSA side and the periodic MP games hosted ... |

I change the file name every turn. The name is usually something simple so if you and I were playing (and you went first) it would be RCvsPS. However, I usually number all my turns such as: RCvsPS(1); RCvsPS(2) RCvsPS(3); etc. The opponent may return them with the original name but in the emails, a... |

Gen. Barycki <salute> We never interacted greatly, as I recall, although I was always aware of your presence as Commandant of the Training Academy. You managed the post through a time of change, never an easy task, and did so in the finest manner and traditions of it. We all aspire to many things in... |
