More useful information to tuck away into the back of my head. Thank you Rich.

You know what, thank you. I did not realize this. I had noticed that sometimes a unit adjacent to a bridge would come up when I hit next during the melee phase but I never did it. I know this will be useful information, thanks again.

Mitch, that may well have been the longest single volume for me as well, but it did not seem stretched or redundant at all. I never found myself bored or overloaded with details when reading it. I think I am probably going to agree with Blake on that series, it seems excessive for the Vicksburg Camp...

Well, that was an interesting twist on the standard book review. I think I may pass on these, too many in my read list waiting already.

Tucker,

Welcome aboard. Nice to have another old board gamer join the ranks. I look forward to our first bout! Do you still have any of the AH/SPI games at home?

Welcome to the Club, Billy Yank! We are glad to have you, even though you are on the wrong side. I think you will find a number of past board gamers here of the AH and SPI games. Are you saying you want to play on Vassal Rise and Fall of the 3rd Reich by AH? You are very ambitious. I am retired too,...

Braver than I dear sir. I don't risk mosquitos, so it would have been a no go from the start. If my memory serves, my first was Fort Pulaski down by Savannah. More a civil war site than battlefield I guess but it was my first. I have been to it a couple of times since, and always enjoyed it. But whe...

I find that unacceptable! Fellow confederates, can we allow these Union yellow dog shoulder straps to out muster us?? We must band together in all things and show the North our unity!

Now you have peaked my interest, I must find this book and add it to the stack! I'm going to assume after a quick search it is General Lee's Army: From Victory to Collapse by Joseph Glatthaar. He seems to have written a number of books across the spectrum of the civil war. It is in my order now.

This is exciting to hear, I assumed there were no new ACW games being considered. Very happy to be proven wrong!

Does anyone else have this commonly happen? I still have several games going with non club members from before I joined. It seems that if I am losing, things are great never a problem. If I seem to gain an advantage, suddenly its email problems, file problems, problems! I like to win, sure, but I pl...

Thanks for the review. I think I will give it a read simply because I know so little of the actions around Corinth after Shiloh. I don't know that I can agree that we have an answer in J.B. Hood to what might have happened with a more aggressive commander. Hood was NOT the tactician that Lee, Longst...
