So for you guys that have played this scenario past day one, what do you do with Hancock and the 2nd Corps after it arrives between 6:40 PM and 8:00 PM on day 1? Do you march it through the night racking up fatigue or do you just get it on the map and march it march it in the morning?

We started Gettysburg Supplied on 27 November. I see that a file has arrived for Turn 114 [I will attend to it shortly] so about three turns a day. It was a lot quicker on Day 1 but we're now down to just under two turns a day as there is a lot going on. Fortunately, my opponent is a good fast resp...

My opponent and I are currently on Turn 110 in the modified 007 Gettysburg. I think it'll be continuing for some time yet. All I changed in that scenario was the supply situation. Supply wagons were increased in size (for both sides) and essentially align with the small arms supply Blake discussed ...

Gentlemen, I would appreciate some more insights into this monster scenario. As I've mentioned I put together a better (I think) way to present the Order of Battle for this scenario and I have a couple of questions. First of all, the 325 men in two regiments: C 32 Mass (50 men) and 7th cos 4th N.J. ...

All, After testing this myself I have a theory of what is going on but I can't say I like the implication. There is a solid line of units between the wrong-way inf on the pike and the artillery at the head of this test column. The V key only shows the shadow casts by the lead arty unit, but why can...

Kevin, Welcome to the club. I've been at this for 5 months now so I'm fairly new as well. I'm an old guy who recalls the days of S&T magazine, Avalon Hill, SPI and The General as well. I've really enjoyed the last few months coming up to speed with these WDS ACW titles. In my experience the guys...

Thank you both!

So I also am playing the big map (now that I know what that is) with another member. That is the scenario that I based the spreadsheet on. I loaded up the historical scenario and you couldn't be more correct, those are two very different animals.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to my fellow club members. I'm hoping that one of you well informed long timers can tell the difference between the following scenarios: !HISTORICAL 1. The Battle of Gettysburg - July 1 - 3, 1863 (156 turns designed by Douglas Strickler) 7. The Battle of Gettysburg...

Wallace, At the risk of sounding dense I'm entirely following your comments. Any chance you could gather a screenshot to clarify? And again, thanks for taking an interest. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that I can see an entire plateau of clear terrain from an elevated position (hexes are...

I don't see a WDS response. If you're referring to my comment, I'm not WDS and I haven't tried to run any tests.

Thanks Rich. I received an email from WDS and they basically just said its WAD

Again, thank you for joining the conversation. According to WDS everything is WAD.

But I'm not on board just yet

Here you go.

So in your case Wallace, the units that can't been seen from Union perspective are not on highlighted and therefore visible hexes. That I get. In the case I'm showing the units are in fact on highlighted...so visible hexes. That is were I'm getting stumped.

So something else a little interesting here. I have attached a save file which is the beginning of the USA turn. If you watch the replay of the CSA turn you can see all the regiments marching down the pike, because I assume those hexes are visible. But when the replay ends the units disappear and yo...

Wallace,

Thank you for joining the discussion. I would be VERY interested to see the Union POV screenshot with the V key "visible hexes" on and see what hexes are highlighted. Thanks.

All, This screenshot is from Gettysburg. The hotspot is on Buford and some arty in (67,141). Playing hot seat with just regular FOW and currently "show visible hexes" is selected. As can be seen I can see the entire road between the reb regiment and the leader that is circled in the screen...
