Officers of the Army of Northern Virginia (and any Yankee scallywags who happen to have staggered into this respectable establishment):

Effective immediately, Major General Josef Seidl has been named Army Commander of the ANV. I have no doubt that he will lead you to many victories.

In the meantime, drinks at this establishment are on my tab.

I applaud your willingness to step up again (for other readers General Seidel is also presently serving as a CSA Cabinet Secretary) and volunteer your time to help administer our great little Club.
