A.P. Hill....... The man, the myth, the legend. I would like to court martial his ***! He is almost 18 hrs late at Gettysburg!! (meeting engagement). How do you folks feel about random release times?
As frustrating as it can be, i enjoy them. You?

LOL. What a coincidence! In my ongoing Seven Days' Battle of a GCACW game (board game), A.P. Hill was also heavily late and ruined the rebs left flank maneuver plan so Poter withdrew successfully from the north of Chickahominy River. Our CSA commander is also considering to court-martial him.

I enjoy such rules and appreciate the games which try to describe the friction from the inside of your own troops. It is interesting, improves the playability, and maybe also more historical for an ACW game. ( Though such rules may cause a huge imbalance in extreme cases. So those games, which in addition to variable reinforcement rules have proper rules to re-balance extreme cases, are better, like The Guns of Gettysburg. Different situations bring different military objectives.)

I really like these random reinforcements, it adds a very real dimension to the battles and forces you to play differently!

To a lesser extent, in a current battle around Memphis, Maury's division arrived almost 10 hours late which made me reconsider my original plan!
