GBACW series is definitely worth having a try. It provides more tactical details than WDS ACW. Meanwhile, it provides simulation above the command and order in the command chain above the brigade level while the simulations of WDS ACW for this are sorely lacking. However,
* I am not sure about your experience with board games. GBACW has high complexity and is not so easy to learn. It has many misc rules. Into The Woods adds many special rules.
* Well, actually, I don't have Into The Woods. Because I relatively disliked that fight. Too many woods. The organization of both sides is also very chaotic. But if you do like Shiloh and the chaos in the battle, GBACW is a good choice to experience chaos.
* An AAR of Into The Woods in GMT Blog. FYI.

It is also the best game I've played to experience and explore the Seven Days Campaign. The series rules and the campaign are a match made in heaven.)
