It is indeed wonderful news to read the Notice with regard to the above.

I would wish to note the immense time, effort and dedication, by all those concerned, that has gone into maintaining and upgrading the DoR over the years. Their skill and selfless effort, often quietly and unrewarded, is worthy of note at this time. It was the platform it was for so long, because of them.

Let us now, as we enter upon a 'New' Department of Records, embrace it with confidence and the many undoubted enhancements it may contain.

As noted, times change and technology moves on, at a blistering pace as we know, and hence the creation of the 'New DoR' is indeed to be welcomed I propose.
