Officers of the ACWGC:
The Cabinet has unanimously agreed to begin soliciting voluntary monetary contributions from Club members in order to partially or wholly reimburse those officers who incur direct costs for the maintenance of web sites critical to Club operations, forums, and record keeping.
The Club has created a “DONATE” button on the bottom of the ACWGC.net home page that is linked to a PAYPAL account maintained by the Cabinet. PAYPAL is the only method to contribute. Those contributing will receive a digital receipt for their records. The Cabinet will inactivate the Donate button, if and when, total annual contributions reach $350. The Cabinet requests that individual contributions be limited to $20.
The Cabinet will of course monitor this entire process. The funds collected will be subject to “on demand” audits by The President and the PAYPAL account holder will submit quarterly reports to the cabinet. The Cabinet will post an annual report (without naming individual contributors) to the MDT for member review.
This donation effort is necessary to equitably share the burden of Club operations and I ask each of you to make a contribution, however small, that is within your means. There are roughly 270 members of our Club. If each officer contributed $1.30, we would reach our goal of $350 (although, of course, larger contributions that $1.30 are certainly welcome!). When you stop to think about it, $1.30 is far less than the price of a cup of good Yankee coffee, a fine southern cigar, or a drummer’s bottle of whiskey.
