Like everyone else I too am shocked and deeply saddened by Walt's passing. He was a really good guy and a tireless champion of our Club & hobby! He helped form an esprit de corps that shows in the comments left by others and was wonderful with new recruits. His time at all levels of leadership, right up to Club President helped transform the Club and bring it into the era we enjoy today. It was an honor to serve with him on the Cabinet.

We are all indebted to the service, time and generosity that Walt gave us and benefit from the great lasting legacy he leaves behind! His loss will no doubt be felt by both sides for a long time to come.

Thanks for everything Walt, you'll be missed greatly. <Salute>

Gentlemen, Sirs! <salute>

Walt was one person that I know that seem to have lived every day to its fullest!

As most of you have shared, he was committed in everything he did! Whether it was sailing, travel, drone flying
or the running and interactions of the ACWGC Walt seem too always be in the action!

Sadly it is also a reminder that every day is precious! Let us in Walt's memory continue his good works within
our gaming Club, being kind and helpful to one another!

We are a better place because Walt had walked among us!

Your Obedient Servant,

General Nick Kunz
Commanding,
Armstrong's Cavalry Brigade,
2nd Corps, AoT

Dean of Cadets, ATA

I'm very saddened to hear this. I looked forward to our exchanges during the last time I had come back to the club. I know how difficult it can be to find selfless volunteers, and to work on behalf of the group in what can be a pretty thankless situation.

I'm sorry for his family's loss, and of course, the club's loss. I know Jim and he were really tight - or seemed that way - so also sorry for Jim's loss, especially.

It was my honor to have served on the ACWGC Cabinet during General Dortch's term as Club President.

He was a strong leader and took initiative, always striving hard to improve the club.

My hat is off in memory of General Dortch.

*salute*
