Officers and Gentlemen of the fine Army of the Mississippi we are gathered here today to say farewell to your Commander; General Jim Garner and to welcome your new Commander; Lieutenant General Tim Miller. I have every expectation that General Miller will continue to maintain the high standards set by General Garner.
I would like to thank General Garner for his fine service as the Army Commander. During Jim’s tenure the AotM has successfully fought a great many battles against those persons up north and they have had a lot of fun doing it.

General Garner please step forward; for your fine service as Army Commander I hereby award you your third Patrick Cleburne Medal of Service.

That's because you couldn't see his Chief of Staff propping him up from behind the podium. He's been telling everyone how he "laid off the sauce" for a full hour the other day. There is even word that he is having a Medal struck to commemorate the occasion.
