Gentlemen,

While engaged at Fort Donelson, I observed that Captured Artillery Guns can fire as many times as you want during your fire phase. This requires Honor by both players not to take advantage of this glitch in the system until it can be fixed. Also wether by design or acident I do not know, but the captured guns do not fire at all during the defensive fire phase. For what it worth......

The Shiloh patch 1.03c has fixed that glitch. But for some unknown reason, it hasn't been released yet. So be patient, it's coming soon.

Dear Capt. Richard Walker,

Have patch installed and I am in another fight, HPS Shiloh, this time at Frankfort. I have captured a Reb gun and I was able to fire it twice (I assume I could have kept firing as long as I had ammo, but did not want to take unfair advantage of my foe). The problem does not seem to have been fixed.

Are you certain the patch was 1.3c? The reason I ask is because 1.03c has not been released. In fact, the new vista fix will be 1.04 and 1.3c will never be released as an official patch. But I have 1.03c and it will not allow multiple firings. Also, does your opponent have 1.03c.

I suggest you give it a test in solitare mode after starting a new game. Assuming you have 1.03c

Let me know ASAP, before 1.04 comes out.

BTW, what is the time stamp on your .exe file. And your opponent?

Dear Rich,

I had version dated 14 Nov 2006 Main
version dated 22 Sept 2006 CP

Reloaded version 103c

I now have version dated 22 Sept 2006 Main

I will test this out to see if there is a difference, will post later.

Dear Capt. Richard Walker,

Yes! The new file does stop the multi-firing of captured guns. I played the AI a campaign and capture a set of guns to confirm it was working.....
