Here's a first...

I am playing a battle where the weather for my men is actually different than the weather for my opponents men! Maybe a fast moving storm cell? Who knows. My visibility is 20 hexes (for about the last 2 hours of game time) and his has always been 8 hexes. He reports I have been firing at him but the cannon which fire quickly disappear when he moves his men.

We will likely just call the game a draw rather than try to figure out this mystery. Anyone ever seen anything like this?

Yes, if your pdt files are different. My experience is that this could only happen if one of you has edited or modded their weather data or renamed their pdt file.

I did this as a newbie and played my first several games with rainy muddy weather while my opponents had bright sunny days. Personally I think it's a bit unnerving that we can play pbem's with modded pdt's (try rebel death ray space lasers) and the game can't tell the difference.
