I just finished playing a one-on-one battle using the same scenario as did the two sides in Gator Advance (read the AAR for more info here

).
HPS Gettysburg Scenario 90
I was able to play as the Yanks and achieve an easy draw by advancing on the Confederates at the very start and then slowly fighting them and, generally, driving them nuts from one side of the board to the other. Every forest held a roadblock and every hill had a scout posted and we easily tracked them and delayed them across the board. Casualties were under a thousand for both sides as my men stayed stationary only long enough to take a few cheap shots and then ran to hide behind the next ridge. Like the Colonials at Lexington and Concord we delayed them all day.
I dont think the Union can win here but achieving a Draw is just as good as a win given the brutally mis-matched sides fighting.
Still, it is a fun scenario to play as either side of you enjoy maneuvering and trying to outhink your enemy.
