ATTENTION TO PARADE!General Dave Danner, having announced his intention of stepping down as Commander of the Union Army of the Cumberland, is hereby relieved of that assignment. Lieutenant General Doug Shaw is officially announced as the new AotC Commander, assuming his duties effective this date.
CITATION FOR THE OUTSTANDING SERVICE COMMENDATION
GENERAL DAVID DANNER
General David Danner, is hereby awarded the Union Army's Outstanding Service Medal and Ribbon, for his dedicated service as Commander of the Union Army of the Cumberland. General Danner very capably and steadily performed his duties, cheerfully, graciously and aggressively as the occasions demanded. His constant oversight of the welfare of the Union Army of the Cumberland and his frequent contributions to the Union Army Command Staff marked him as a keen, knowledgeable and dependable asset to the good order and functioning of his command. This was the General's
second tour as the AotC AC, and his
second, very well earned OSC.
