On this balmy Monday evening in Pennsylvania the temp is three below zero and the wind is blowing about 24 miles an hour. Life threatening. Feeling for the people and the animals who don't necessarily have a nice warm house or barn to hunker down in. I wonder how our ancestors ever survived the little ice age that occurred in the early 19th century.

Out where I work we have been getting over 45 deg C (113 deg F) on most days, one extreme to the other. You boys up north say warm 8)

Just 1 degree when I woke up in Nashville today! It is 9 degrees now.

My girlfriend complained it was cold and I tried to tell her it was nine times warmer now than when I woke up.

... that did NOT seem to work :mrgreen:

without the wind factor it was -27 C yesterday. It is still cold here in Chiberia. At least we have a decent infrastructure to protect the homeless and try and check on the seniors but for people who have had their gas shut off because they are too poor to pay the bills, it has been a rough few days...
