I was able to get to Gettysburg earlier this month for the WWI Weekend at the Eisenhower Farm. Not sure how many years they have been doing it, but it was a great event with some decent turnout. I highly recommend going if you happen to be in town when it is happening.

You can check out the events that took place: https://www.nps.gov/thingstodo/wwi-weekend.htm

Below are some photos I took of the various displays & exhibits.

Battlefield Artists Displays:

A rather cool lecture by a living history guy, who is trying to shed light on some forgotten artists.

Camp Colt Presentation:

Unfortunately it was rather rainy, so we didn't get to walk all the locations. The ranger did point a lot out and even shared some photos of things nearby to where we were standing. We were just behind the Brian Farm house, where the Cyclorama used to be and where the Memorial to the Grand Army of the Republic is now.

The camp ended about where the McDonalds is.

Can you spot the PA Monument/Memorial.

From what he said the machine gun range was down by the Houck's Ridge area and was where the only accidental training death happened while Ike was commander of the camp.

Great pics, Scott. Thanks for sharing! Next time you're in town shoot me an email and we can meet up for a drink and/or battlefielding.
