Gentlemen,

I'm playing Antietam's First Bull Run scenario 003 v.1 and the scenario starts off with some unattached regiment troops. Is there a way to assign/attach these troops to a brigade or division? I thought I read somewhere that this is possible, but I am thinking that it doesn't apply to this particular scenario.

I searched the menu bar and double checked the command bar and there does not appear to be an assignment button. Am I missing something?

Are unattached troops common in WDS Civil War Games?

Has anyone attached and unattached troops?

Could it be scenario or a game specific option?

Hey Phil. I do not believe there is any way in a game to change the order of battle or assignment of units. Historically, some regiments were not attached to brigades (and sometimes brigades operated independent and unattached themselves).

You would not be able to alter the OOB unit order without breaking the scenario. It can be done, but it is complex and not easy to type all the instructions. You can also create or modify OOBs and use the editor to design scenarios from scratch.
