I'm available to help with anything for the Union side, just send a courier to Washington, DC and I'll get it straightened out. General Adams hasn't had to yell at me for screwing anything up yet![:)] So start with your Army Commander, and escalate to me before we burden Don with the issues.

Of course, if it's your own error, plan on peeling several sacks of cyber poatoes to atone for it![:D][;)]

For you Rebs: Ditto what General Laub said.

At work, several of us take turns being on call for the computer systems we support. I insist that the senior technicians NOT be on call, since they are the ultimate backup for the rest of us. First of all, they are 'on call' all the time, anyway, in case something comes up the rest of us can't handle. Second, IMHO, it is their job to teach the rest of us how to handle emergencies. If they do their job well, we can handle the emergencies without them and they get a good night's sleep. If they do their jobs poorly, then it serves them right to get a call in the middle of the night to come help [:)] !

That said, I look at General Adams as the 'ultimate backup' for the Department of Records. He developed the system, trained many of us directly, and put together documentation on how to run the system. If any of you have questions or difficulties, check with your superior officer for assistance. If that officer can't handle it, he is to take it up the chain of command. If it gets to me and I can't handle it, I'll take it to General Adams.

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory
