I am quite sure of your assessment.

It is too tempting an opportunity for some.
Plus to just allow a enemy standard to fly over the field unchallenged?
Why it is unthinkable from a Union officers perspective.

Until then may your lines and our armies overcome all obstacles and triumph in the righteous cause!
