A Portion of "Brandy Station Review" - by Don Troiani
To all the Officers of the Confederate States of America (CSA) Armies & Fellow Club MembersMy sincerest thanks! The CSA Command Staff & I will continue to work towards ensuring that the officers on both sides of the Club have fun and enjoy their time spent playing games with their fellow members!
I also want to note that I'll work to make sure that we keep the Confederate cause on course and that we'll not get too belabored and behind on the paperwork and dispatches of the many victories officers of the CSA are achieving! (Read as: I'm going to do my best with the others to keep on top of the admin work, so folks get the awards & honors they have earned and that we continue to improve communications with the members).
I am very happy to report that the fine officers of the Army of Northern Virginia (ANV) and the Army of Tennessee (AoT) between January of 2017 and September 22, 2018 played a combined total of 524 games registered in the Department of Records (DoR). This is on top of the 652 engagements fought by both armies from August 2015 to December 2016. That is 1,176 games in the past 3 years. I'm immensely proud that so many games have been fought by so many of you. As always myself and our Union counterparts are thankful to you for taking the time to play games here and also for being a member. It means a lot to me personally that year after year I see many of the Confederate officers making their mark in the Club! As always my headquarters is open for any of your comments, concerns or questions.
Here's to you all! Please join me in celebrating, the tab is being paid by myself and the bar is open all night. The Social Committee of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Richmond will have a Fall Harvest Picnic and Pig roast too! Plus the Ladies Charitable Society of Atlanta will provide a Roasted Wild Game Supper & an assortment of pies too, followed by a Moonlight Harvest Dance!
Finally I have asked Drinkin' & Fightin' General Cam McOmish & his String Band to play us "Dixie" in honor of all you fine officers!
