Fellow members of the ACWGC,

In accordance with the Rules of the Club, Cabinet has formed a 2 Man Election Committee to oversee the Electoral procedure and Democratic investiture of a New Club President.

Gen. Ernie Sands (USA) and Major Gen. Patrick Carroll (CSA) have volunteered for and have been been duly appointed to serve as the Election Committee for this Presidential Election.

The Election Committee would advise all Members to re-acquaint Themselves with the Electoral procedures and requirements enacted under this Year's Rules Revision, that can be found at:

http://www.wargame.ch/wc/acw/ACWGCRules.html

The first step to be undertaken will be acceptance of any/all Candidates. With this in mind - this present Notice is intended to re-focus the minds of the ACWGC Membership on this important Subject.

It is also intended - to give formal notice to any Member, who intends to put their name forward for election, that their successful application will require a Proposer and a Second, to accompany their application.

Emails with the nominations and the names of the proposer and seconds should be sent to:

*acwgcATwargameDOTch*

To further this process the pertinent Rules regarding ACWGC nominations and campaigning follows :

3.3.4.1.5 Dates for nominations and voting are to be set by the Election Committee and published in the Mason-Dixon Tavern, with notice also in the Smoking Room. A minimum of one week should be allowed for nominations, one additional week for campaigning, and one additional week for voting.

3.3.4.2 Campaigning Once the candidates are determined, each will be encouraged to post one campaign message thread at the Smoking Room for any information he would like to share. Supporters may add to the thread. In the club spirit of behaving like gentlemen, however, negative statements regarding other candidates are highly discouraged. Posts in violation of this rule are subject to removal.

3.3.4.2.1 Candidates for any Cabinet-level position must have a rank of Colonel or above.

3.3.4.2.2 Candidates must be nominated by two other members before being placed on the ballot. Other than the President, nominating officers must be from the same military group as the candidate being nominated.

3.3.4.2.3 Nominations are to be submitted to the entire Cabinet.

Please ensure that this Notice is brought to the attention of all Officers below You in Your Chain of Command.

Please monitor the Boards for further information on this matter - to be posted soon.

Thank You.
