American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC)

Gentlemen,

A quick note to confirm that the nomination period of the Union Army Cabinet Secretary position begins today (5th May 2023 to 12th May 2023). Campaigning weeks run from 12th May 2023 to 26th May 2023, while the election itself will run from 26th May 2023 to 2nd June 2023.

A reminder that candidates must hold the rank of Colonel and above. In order to be nominated, two Union officers must email the entire Cabinet in support of the nomination, stating that their candidate will serve, if elected. The Cabinet will place successful candidates on the ballot.

Since the nomination period has expired with only one officer being nominated, I can confirm that General Walt Dortch has been duly elected to fill the post of Union Army Cabinet Secretary. Thank you to Steve Sober for his two years in post; it's been a great pleasure, Sir! Thank you to Walt for stepping forward to serve the ACWGC once more - we are all grateful you have done so, Sir! Congratulations to Secretary-elect Dortch!
